Ed Jarvis joined the Federal Aviation Administration in September 2003. Ed works in the Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Integration Research and Development (R&D) branch. Ed Jarvis has over 30 year’s aviation experience with an extensive background in air traffic control, aviation safety, flight operations, training, and management.
Ed holds a commercial pilot certificate and is instrument rated in airplanes single/multi-engine. He is a certified General Services Administration (GSA) Interagency Federal Aviation Safety Officer and FAA designated Control Tower Operator (CTO) Examiner. He has two Master of Science degrees in Aviation/Aerospace Safety Systems and Aviation/Aerospace Operations, with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Ed also did the Senior Executive Service Leadership Certificate Program through Georgetown University. A BMW motorcyclist he is an avid long distance motorcycle rider!
