VP, Flight Operations Support Services & ATM
Geoff Hounsell is the VP Flight Operations Support Services & ATM at Emirates Airline where he is responsible for supporting their global flight operations including passenger, cargo and VIP services. The main areas of his responsibilities at Emirates include the management of flight planning and dispatch, overflight approvals, ATM coordination, Overflight charges reconciliation, navigation data, documentation and procedures and the support of new technologies operational implementation.
He was previously employed by Airways New Zealand from 2011 to 2012 as the Strategy and Development Manager, later elevating as Manager of Auckland Oceanic, Airways New Zealand, in 2013. He was responsible for the management of Auckland Oceanic section for service delivery, administrative management of Auckland ATC Centre and coordination with key stakeholders in Auckland.
Geoff has over 20 years of experience and knowledge of Air Traffic Management and over 30 years in aviation. He has worked globally in various organizations such as the International Air Transportation Association (IATA); where he was the Assistant Director of ATM Asia Pacific, Serco IAL Ltd at Dubai international Airport as Head of ATC Training, Airways New Zealand as an Air Traffic Controller and the Royal New Zealand Air Force as a Navigator on P3K Orions.
